Does a Damaged Tooth Sound Familiar?

A cracked, worn, or missing tooth has a way of touching everything you do. It can make simple moments feel complicated, from the food you eat to the way you feel about your smile. You are not alone, and these problems have real solutions.
  • Chewing on one side to avoid pain
  • Hiding your smile in photos
  • A sharp edge that catches your tongue
  • Skipping foods you used to love
  • Worrying a weak tooth will break
  • Feeling older than you really are
  • Recognizing these signs is the first step. A single visit could be all it takes to feel like yourself again.

    Why Waiting Makes It Harder

  • Small cracks grow

A minor chip today can split into a break that costs more to fix. Decay spreads deeper: Untreated damage lets decay reach the nerve, adding treatment steps.

  • Decay spreads deeper

Untreated damage lets decay reach the nerve, adding treatment steps.

  • Nearby teeth shift

Gaps let neighboring teeth drift, complicating your future restoration.

  • Chewing wears you down

Favoring one side strains your jaw and tires other teeth.

  • Confidence keeps slipping

Every hidden smile makes self-consciousness feel more permanent.

  • Simple becomes complex

What a crown fixes now may need more involved care later.

  • Acting now usually means a simpler treatment and a smoother path to a whole smile.

How Same Day Crowns and Bridges Work?

A crown is a custom cap that covers a damaged or weakened tooth, restoring its shape and strength. A dental bridge (replacement for missing teeth) fills the gap left by one or more lost teeth by anchoring to the healthy teeth on either side. Both are designed to look and function like natural teeth, giving you a complete, comfortable bite again.

What makes same day crowns and bridges in Liberty, NC possible at our office is CEREC PrimeMill technology. What to Expect With Same Day Crowns and Bridges

Many of our patients tell us they felt nervous beforehand and then surprised by how smooth the visit was. We designed every step around your comfort, so you can relax knowing exactly what comes next.
    1

    Exam and Digital Scan

Your visit begins with a gentle exam to check the health of your tooth and surrounding gums. Instead of messy putty impressions, we use a small intraoral scanner to capture a detailed 3D image of your teeth in minutes. This is quick and comfortable, and it gives us the precise digital blueprint we need to design a restoration that fits you perfectly.

    2

    Design and Milling

Using your digital scan, we design your custom crown or bridge right on screen, shaping it to match the size, color, and contour of your natural teeth. Our CEREC PrimeMill then carves your restoration from a solid block of tooth-colored ceramic while you wait. You get a precise, durable result without the wait of an outside lab.

    3

    Placement and Final Fit

Once your restoration is ready, we carefully fit it, check your bite, and make any small adjustments so everything feels natural. We then bond it securely into place and polish it to a natural shine. You leave with a fully restored tooth that looks, feels, and works like your own, all in the same visit.

Life After Same Day Crowns and Bridges

Most patients are surprised by how little recovery same day crowns and bridges require. There may be a short adjustment period, and our team is always here to support you through it.

    First 24 to 48 Hours

You may notice mild sensitivity to hot or cold, along with a new awareness of how your restoration feels when you bite. This is completely normal and usually fades quickly. Stick to softer foods if it feels more comfortable, and your bite will start to feel natural within a day or two.

    First Week

Any initial sensitivity should continue to ease as you settle into normal eating and brushing. Most patients find they can return to their usual foods and routine almost right away. By the end of the week, your crown or bridge should simply feel like part of your smile.

Every patient heals a little differently, so we will give you clear, personalized aftercare guidance tailored to your treatment. You will always have direct access to our team if any questions come up along the way.

Same Day Crowns and Bridges FAQs

We know choosing a dental restoration comes with plenty of questions, and we want you to feel fully informed. Below are answers to the things patients ask us most about same day crowns and bridges. If you have a question we have not covered, we are always glad to talk it through.

How can a crown really be done in one day?

Our CEREC PrimeMill technology handles the design and milling right in our office. After a quick digital scan, we craft your crown from a ceramic block while you wait, then place it the same day. There is no outside lab and no second appointment needed.
Yes. Same day crowns are milled from high-quality, solid ceramic blocks that are both durable and natural-looking. For most teeth, they offer strength comparable to traditional lab-made restorations, with the added advantage of finishing everything in a single visit.
Comfort is a priority throughout your visit. We make sure the area is fully numb before any work begins, so most patients feel only mild pressure. Afterward, any sensitivity is usually minor and fades within a day or two.
With good care, crowns and bridges can last many years. Brushing twice a day, flossing, and keeping up with regular checkups all help extend their life. We will show you simple ways to protect your restoration for the long term.
Absolutely. We design each restoration to match the shape, size, and shade of your surrounding teeth. The tooth-colored ceramic blends in naturally, so your crown or bridge should be difficult for anyone to spot.
A crown covers and protects a single damaged or weakened tooth. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the healthy teeth beside the gap. During your visit, we will help determine which option best fits your needs.
No, and that is one of the biggest advantages. Because we design and place your permanent restoration in the same visit, there is no need for a temporary crown or the second appointment that usually comes with it.
Not at all. We use a small handheld scanner that captures images of your teeth in minutes, with no messy impression material required. Many patients find it far more pleasant than traditional putty molds.
Treat it just like your natural teeth. Brush twice daily, floss regularly, and avoid using your teeth to open packages or bite very hard objects. Routine dental visits let us check your restoration and keep your whole smile healthy.
In most cases, yes. Once your restoration is bonded and your bite feels right, you can return to eating fairly quickly. Some patients prefer softer foods for the first day if there is any sensitivity, but that usually passes fast.
