    Living With Several Missing Teeth

When you’re missing more than one tooth in a row, everyday moments start to feel different. Meals take planning, conversations feel self-conscious, and the gap affects more than just your smile. We hear these frustrations from patients often.
  • Struggling to chew certain foods
  • Hiding your smile in photos
  • Feeling teeth shift or feel unstable
  • Skipping meals out with friends
  • Watching the bone in your jaw weaken
  • Missing the freedom to eat freely
  • These challenges don't have to be permanent. A secure, lasting replacement can bring back both function and comfort.

    What Waiting Can Cost You

  • Bone begins to shrink

The jawbone weakens over time when multiple teeth are missing, changing your facial shape.

  • Nearby teeth shift

Surrounding teeth drift into the empty space, affecting your bite and alignment.

  • Treatment grows complex

Waiting can require added procedures like bone grafting before restoration.

  • Chewing gets harder

Limited chewing strains remaining teeth and narrows your food choices.

  • Confidence keeps fading

The longer the gap stays, the more self-conscious daily moments become.

  • Options may narrow

Delaying can reduce the treatment choices available to you later.

  • Acting sooner often means a simpler path and a stronger, more lasting result.

    What Are Implant Bridges?

An implant bridge replaces several missing teeth in a row using dental implants (permanent tooth replacements) as anchors instead of relying on your natural teeth for support. Rather than placing a separate implant for every missing tooth, two or more implants hold a custom bridge of connected replacement teeth securely in place. Because the implants fuse with your jawbone, the result feels stable and natural, giving you a restoration that functions much like the teeth you were born with.

Planning matters here, and at Liberty Dentistry we use 3D imaging and intraoral scanners to map your jaw with precision before treatment begins. This technology lets us position each implant accurately and design implant bridges in Liberty, NC that fit your bite and blend naturally with your smile.

  • Anchored by two or more titanium implants

  • Designed to last for decades with proper care
  • Transformations That Last

Watch real patients share how their dental journey restored not just their smiles, but their quality of life. These personal stories capture the relief and joy that come with comprehensive, caring treatment.

Are Implant Bridges Right for You?

Many people wonder whether they qualify for implant bridges, and the good news is that candidacy is often broader than expected. This solution suits a wide range of patients who are missing several teeth in a row and want a secure, lasting replacement. Even if you’ve been told options are limited, it’s worth finding out where you stand.
  • Have several missing teeth in a row you want replaced
  • Currently wear a removable partial that shifts or feels bulky
  • Want a replacement that stays fixed in place
  • Have been told your jaw may need extra support
  • Want to eat and speak without second-guessing
  • Not Sure Where You Stand?

Uncertainty about qualifying is completely normal, and there’s an easy way to get answers. A consultation lets us evaluate your needs and recommend whether implant bridges are the right fit for your smile and long-term goals.

What to Expect With Implant Bridges

Many patients tell us they felt nervous beforehand and were relieved by how smooth the process turned out to be. Every step is designed around your comfort and peace of mind.
    1

    Consultation and Planning

Your treatment begins with a thorough consultation where we review your goals and examine your mouth. Using 3D imaging and intraoral scanners, we create a detailed model of your jaw to plan exactly where your implants will go. This careful mapping means fewer surprises and a treatment plan built specifically for you, so you leave knowing what to expect every step of the way.

    2

    Preparing Your Smile

If any teeth need removing or your jaw needs added support, we handle that first, with comfort measures in place to keep you relaxed. We take time to make sure the foundation for your implant bridge is solid. You'll rest assured knowing we're building toward a result designed to last, not rushing the process.

    3

    Implant Placement

On placement day, we position the titanium implants that will anchor your bridge. The area is fully numbed, and sedation options are available to keep you calm and comfortable throughout. Most patients are surprised by how manageable this step feels. When it's done, the foundation for your new teeth is securely in place.

    4

    Healing and Integration

Over the following weeks, your implants fuse naturally with your jawbone, creating a stable base. We'll check in to monitor your progress and keep you comfortable. During this time, a temporary solution helps you carry on with daily life, so you're never left without a smile while you heal.

    5

    Placing Your Bridge

Once healing is complete, we secure your custom bridge onto the implants. We check the fit, your bite, and the look until everything feels right. You'll walk out with a full, natural-looking smile and the freedom to eat and speak with confidence again.

Ready to Reclaim Your Complete Smile?

    Recovering From Implant Bridges

Most patients are surprised by how manageable recovery feels and return to their normal routine sooner than expected. Healing does take time, and our team supports you through every stage.

    First 24 to 48 Hours

Expect mild swelling and some tenderness around the treated area, which is completely normal. Rest, stick to soft foods, and use any prescribed medication or over-the-counter pain relief as directed. Most patients find this early stage far more comfortable than anticipated and settle in quickly.

    First 1 to 2 Weeks

As the days pass, swelling fades and daily activities feel easier. You'll gradually reintroduce more foods while giving the treated area time to settle. Most patients feel noticeably better within this window and appreciate having a clear sense of steady progress.

    Long-Term Healing

Over the following months, your implants fuse securely with your jawbone, building the stable foundation for your bridge. This stage happens quietly in the background while you go about life. Regular check-ins let us confirm everything is healing beautifully on schedule.

Every patient heals a little differently, so your experience may vary from the general timeline. We’ll provide a personalized aftercare plan with clear instructions, and our team stays available whenever you have questions.

    Implant Bridge FAQs

Considering a new solution for missing teeth naturally brings up questions. We’ve gathered the ones patients ask most so you can feel informed and confident. If anything else is on your mind, we’re always glad to talk it through with you.

How is an implant bridge different from a regular bridge?

A traditional bridge relies on grinding down your natural teeth for support, while an implant bridge is anchored by dental implants placed in your jaw. This protects your surrounding teeth and provides a more stable, longer-lasting foundation for your replacement.
Most implant bridges use two or more implants to support several replacement teeth, depending on the size of the gap. During your consultation, we use 3D imaging to determine the exact number that will give you the strongest, most natural result.
The area is fully numbed during placement, and sedation options are available to keep you relaxed. Most patients tell us the experience was far more comfortable than they expected, with only mild soreness afterward that’s easily managed.
With proper care, implant bridges can last for decades. The implants themselves are designed to be a long-term solution, and good daily hygiene plus regular checkups help protect your investment for many years.
Yes. Each bridge is custom-designed to match the shape, size, and color of your natural teeth. We use precise digital scans so your replacement blends seamlessly with your smile and looks completely natural.
Once healing is complete, you can enjoy most of your favorite foods again. Because the bridge is anchored securely by implants rather than resting on your gums, it offers strong, reliable chewing without the movement of removable options.
Caring for an implant bridge is much like caring for natural teeth. Brush and floss daily, keep up with regular checkups, and we’ll show you simple techniques for cleaning around the bridge to keep everything healthy long-term.
Age itself is rarely a barrier. What matters more is your overall oral health and jawbone support. Many older patients do wonderfully with implant bridges, and a consultation is the best way to confirm what’s right for you.
That’s a common situation, and it’s often still very treatable. Sometimes added jaw support is needed first, which we can plan for using detailed imaging. We’ll walk you through your options during your visit.
It begins with a simple consultation. We’ll examine your mouth, discuss your goals, and use advanced imaging to build a plan tailored to you. From there, we’ll guide you through each step with no pressure and no rush.
