Repairing damaged teeth

What is restorative dentistry?

Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing teeth that are damaged, worn, decayed, or missing. We can use fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, or other custom-made restorations to replace lost tooth structure and support normal chewing and speaking. Most treatments are completed in the office with digital scans, 3D planning, and in-house milling, so the restoration is shaped to fit your mouth and blend with the rest of your teeth.

Restore what daily life needs

Benefits of Restorative Dentistry

When teeth are damaged or missing, even simple routines can start to feel harder. Restorative Dentistry helps rebuild function and bring your smile back into a dependable place. That means you can move through the day with fewer limitations and more freedom to focus on what matters.
Eat with less hesitation
When damaged teeth are repaired or replaced, meals stop feeling like a challenge. You can enjoy a wider range of foods again without working around weak spots or avoiding favorites at the table.
Gaps and worn teeth can make conversations feel awkward, especially in work settings or social plans. Restoring your smile helps you talk more naturally so you can focus on the moment instead of your mouth.
A restored smile can help you feel more like yourself in photos, meetings, and everyday conversations. You get a more complete appearance that fits in naturally instead of drawing attention to missing or damaged teeth.
When a missing tooth is left alone, the teeth around it can start shifting into the open space. Restorative care helps preserve alignment and keeps surrounding teeth from carrying extra strain over time.
You do not have to keep patching the same problem over and over. A well-planned restoration gives you a more dependable way forward, so you can spend less energy worrying about the same issue again.
A stronger, more complete smile can make errands, dinners, and family time feel less complicated. You leave with a mouth that works more like it should, which makes daily life feel easier to manage.

Restore Your Smile and Make Everyday Life Comfortable Again

Right for many people

Is Restorative Dentistry Right for You?

Restorative Dentistry can be a fit when your smile needs rebuilding, not just a quick touch-up. We help you look at what is missing, worn, or failing so you can see what makes sense for your mouth.

Replacing missing teeth

When one tooth or many are gone, you may want a solution that feels secure and looks natural. Restorative Dentistry can help rebuild your bite so eating and smiling feel more comfortable again.

Fixing worn dentistry

A crown, bridge, or other work that has started to fail can make everyday chewing frustrating. If something feels loose, broken, or uneven, this service gives you a path toward steadier function.

Starting over gently

If you have put off care because you were unsure where to begin, you are not alone. We can look at your smile, explain what we see, and help you move forward without pressure.

Does This Sound Like You?

If any of that sounds familiar, your situation may fit Restorative Dentistry more closely than you think. Many people come in unsure whether they are a good candidate, and a conversation usually brings real clarity.

What to expect

Restorative Dentistry Procedure Steps

Knowing what comes next can make restorative care feel less overwhelming. We keep the visit clear and comfortable, so you can feel more settled and confident before we move forward with the care your smile needs.
1

Talk through your needs

Your visit begins with a conversation about what feels off, what has changed, and what you want to improve. If you are uneasy about dental visits, that is completely normal. We make time to listen, explain your options in plain language, and help you feel ready for the next part.
2

Restore what is needed

During the treatment visit, we address the tooth or teeth that need attention and focus on restoring strength, comfort, and function. Depending on your needs, that may involve a crown, bridge, implant, or another restorative option. You stay informed throughout, and the experience is designed to feel calm and manageable.
3

Leave with relief

When the visit is finished, you walk out with a smile that feels more comfortable and easier to use day to day. Meals, speaking, and laughing can feel less stressful when damaged or missing teeth have been restored. That renewed confidence is often what patients notice first.

Patient FAQs

Restorative Dentistry FAQs

Restorative dentistry raises practical questions, and you deserve clear answers before you make any decisions. We keep care friendly and no-pressure, and if you do not see your question below, reach out and we will talk it through with you.

What does restorative dentistry include?

Restorative dentistry covers care that repairs damaged teeth and replaces missing ones. We may use crowns, bridges, same-day CEREC restorations, dental implants, and hybrid tooth replacement options to help rebuild function and appearance under one roof.
Many patients with one missing tooth or several missing teeth can be candidates for dental implants. We look at your oral health, bone support, and overall treatment goals, then talk through options like single tooth implants or full-arch hybrids so you know what fits your situation.
With our in-house CEREC PrimeMill technology, we can make a same-day crown in a single visit. That means we design and mill your restoration here in our office instead of sending it to an outside lab, which keeps the process efficient for you.
Most patients want to know about comfort first, and that makes sense. We work at a calm pace and explain each step before we begin, so you know what to expect. If a tooth is sensitive or damaged, we adjust our approach around that area.
You have more than one path, and the right choice depends on how many teeth are missing and what you want your smile to do day to day. We may discuss bridges, implant-supported hybrids, or other tooth replacement options, then explain the tradeoffs in plain language.
That depends on the type of restoration and how you care for it. Crowns, bridges, and implants are built for strength, and regular checkups help us monitor how everything is holding up. Good home care matters too, especially around replacement teeth and gum health.
Delaying care can let damage or tooth loss affect the teeth around it, which may make treatment more involved later. Restorative dentistry helps us address problems while they are still manageable, and we can help you understand what urgency looks like for your situation.
Yes, and that is a big part of restorative dentistry for us. We often plan treatment that supports chewing, comfort, and appearance at the same time, using crowns, bridges, implants, or hybrid solutions that blend naturally with the rest of your smile.
Daily brushing, flossing, and regular exams still matter after treatment. We may also show you how to clean around implant-supported teeth or bridgework so you can protect the work we complete. Routine visits help us keep an eye on fit and wear.
We offer many restorative options in one place, along with modern technology and a friendly no-pressure approach. Our team is focused on comfort, and our CEREC system lets us make same-day crowns and bridges right here in our office when that is the best fit.

Modern Dentistry and Honest Care You Can Trust

Dr. Greg Moses is a general dentist and the owner of Liberty Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2019, after completing a bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University in 2015. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. Before putting down roots in North Carolina to be closer to family, he practiced in South Carolina, and today he cares for patients throughout Liberty and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Moses believes you deserve clear information and real choices about your care, with no pressure and no surprises. He brings that philosophy to Liberty Dentistry every day, where we focus on comfortable, technology-forward treatment. Over the years, he has helped many patients restore both function and confidence in their smiles. Outside the office, Dr. Moses enjoys playing and listening to music, spending time outdoors, and being with his family.
