Smile planning basics

What Is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is the group of treatments we use to change how your teeth look. It can include whitening, veneers, bonding, contouring, crowns, orthodontics, and full mouth reconstruction planning. The process starts with a conversation about your goals, then we map out which techniques fit your teeth, bite, and facial features. Some plans use digital scans, 3D imaging, or same-day crown milling to shape and replace teeth as part of the makeover.

A smile that feels like you

Benefits of Cosmetic Dentistry

When you have been noticing things you wish were different, it can be hard to feel fully at ease in photos or conversations. Cosmetic Dentistry gives you a personalized path forward, with options chosen around your goals and your smile’s natural balance. The process is built to help you move from hesitation to a result that feels more like you.
Feel ready for the camera
When you like what you see in the mirror, photos stop feeling like something to avoid. Family events, work profiles, and everyday selfies become easier because your smile matches the image you want to share.
Chips, gaps, discoloration, and uneven edges can pull attention away from the rest of your face. Cosmetic care helps create a more even look, so your smile feels polished instead of distracting.
A thoughtful cosmetic plan is shaped around your features, not a one-size-fits-all idea. That personalized approach helps the result look natural in your face, which makes it easier to feel comfortable showing your teeth in daily life.
When you stop worrying about how your smile looks, conversations can feel more relaxed. You can focus on the meeting, the meal, or the moment instead of holding back because of one detail you keep noticing.
If you have several concerns at once, cosmetic dentistry helps organize them into a plan that makes sense. You get a practical sequence instead of guesswork, which can make the whole process feel less overwhelming.
A balanced smile can change how your whole face feels in pictures and in person. When your teeth look more coordinated, the result can make everyday greetings, special occasions, and social moments feel more natural.

You leave with a smile that looks balanced and feels more natural every day.

Is Cosmetic Dentistry Right for You?

If you keep wondering whether your smile could look more balanced, we can help you sort that out. Cosmetic Dentistry gives you a clear way to see whether the changes you want fit your goals and your everyday life.

Seeking a more even smile

When chips, gaps, or color changes keep drawing your eye in the mirror, you may be a good fit. Cosmetic Dentistry can bring different concerns together into one plan that feels more natural.

Wanting a confidence refresh

A smile that no longer matches how you feel can make photos and conversations feel harder. If you are looking for a change that reflects the person you are now, this service may fit well.

Considering a bigger change

A few small fixes may not be enough when several teeth bother you at once. From a simple touch-up to a broader makeover, you can explore options that match where you are starting from.

Does This Sound Like You?

If you are unsure whether Cosmetic Dentistry is the right fit, that uncertainty is completely normal. We talk with people every day who want a clearer picture before deciding what comes next.

Cosmetic Dentistry Procedure Steps

Knowing what to expect can make cosmetic care feel much more manageable. We keep the visit calm and clear, so you can focus on the smile you want instead of feeling unsure about what comes next.
1

Share your goals

Your visit begins with a conversation about what you want to change, whether that is color, shape, alignment, or overall balance. If you feel nervous about cosmetic treatment, that is completely normal. We listen closely, answer questions in plain language, and help you feel comfortable with your options.

3

Enjoy the change

Patient FAQs

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

Cosmetic dentistry brings up a lot of practical questions, and that is normal. We help you sort through your options for a smile that looks natural and feels right for you, and if we do not cover something below, reach out and we will talk it through.

What can cosmetic dentistry change?

Cosmetic dentistry can improve the color, shape, alignment, and overall harmony of your smile. We may use whitening, veneers, bonding, contouring, crowns, or orthodontics, depending on what you want to change and how you want your smile to look and function.
The right plan depends on your goals, your tooth structure, and the kind of change you want to see. We start with a conversation and an exam, then we explain the options that fit your smile instead of pushing you toward one set path.
Yes, a Trial Smile can help you see a temporary mock-up of your future smile before you commit. It gives you a chance to compare the look and feel of the design, which can be helpful if you are deciding between veneers, crowns, or a larger makeover.
That is usually the goal. We plan cosmetic treatment around your facial features, tooth shape, and overall balance so your smile does not look overdone. Small details matter, and we use them to create results that blend with the rest of your teeth.
The timeline depends on the treatment plan. Teeth whitening may be completed in a single visit, while veneers, bonding, aligners, or a fuller smile makeover can take longer. We will walk you through each step so you know what to expect.
Most cosmetic treatments are manageable, and many are focused more on appearance than extensive repair. If a visit may involve shaping enamel, placing restorations, or adjusting teeth, we explain it clearly first and work at a pace that keeps you comfortable.
You do not need to commit to a full makeover to start improving your smile. Some patients begin with whitening or bonding, while others choose a phased plan. We can talk through smaller steps if that feels more comfortable for you.
Daily brushing, flossing, and regular checkups still matter after cosmetic treatment. If you have veneers, crowns, bonding, or aligners, we may give you specific home care guidance so you can protect the result and keep an eye on wear over time.
No, cosmetic care often overlaps with function. A plan may improve how your teeth fit together, how you bite, or how much tooth structure is supported, especially when we combine cosmetic treatments with crowns, orthodontics, or other restorative care.
We offer cosmetic dentistry as part of a technology-focused practice with everything under one roof. From Trial Smile planning to whitening, veneers, bonding, crowns, and clear aligners, we keep the process friendly, no-pressure, and centered on your goals.

Modern Dentistry and Honest Care You Can Trust

Dr. Greg Moses is a general dentist and the owner of Liberty Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2019, after completing a bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University in 2015. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. Before putting down roots in North Carolina to be closer to family, he practiced in South Carolina, and today he cares for patients throughout Liberty and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Moses believes you deserve clear information and real choices about your care, with no pressure and no surprises. He brings that philosophy to Liberty Dentistry every day, where we focus on comfortable, technology-forward treatment. He’s especially enthusiastic about tools like 3D imaging, intraoral scanners, dental lasers, and same-day crown milling that make your visits faster and more precise. Over the years, he has helped many patients restore both function and confidence in their smiles. Outside the office, Dr. Moses enjoys playing and listening to music, spending time outdoors, and being with his family.
